The biennial Appearance Matters conference is back in person in June 2024, situated in its home city of Bristol. Celebrating its 10th instalment, the international conference will offer a varied scientific programme, including visible difference, body image, eating behaviours, clinical interventions, medical decision-making, fashion, sports, sexual well-being, stigma, social media, intersectionality, aesthetic procedures, and more. Our two keynotes focus on representation of visible difference and anti-ableist practices, and working with industry to improve body image. Workshops, a panel event, an ignite-style session, film screenings, networking events, and original artwork will also feature. Join us in June, and enquire to find out more.
