Joining / Renewing Your Membership

Persons with appropriate professional qualifications, with a special interest in cleft lip and palate, are encouraged to apply for Ordinary Membership. Council has to approve all membership applications. Annual Membership currently costs £70 or, for Members from the Eurozone, €85.

Unwaged undergraduate students may join at the special rate of £35. Please send a copy of your proof of student status with your application form and cheque as described below.

Membership renewal process

For those with £sterling bank accounts, send a cheque (made out to CFSGBI) to the address below, or contact the Treasurer to set up a Direct Debit for automatic payment of your subscription each year. For those in the Eurozone, please use the Paypal Euro payment facility.

Membership application process

1. You can download your application form from this site .
2. If possible, ensure that a member of the Society, who has been a member for at least one year, signs the form in support of your membership. If a supporting letter cannot be obtained, a current Curriculum Vitae should be sent.
3. It is helpful to the Society if those members with a sterling bank account pay by Direct Debit. For non sterling bank account holders only, we have set up a Paypal facility for payment in Euros - see below.
4. Send your completed application form to the Administrative Secretariat, along with a completed direct debit form, bankers' draft or cheque as appropriate, for the membership fee. Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope if you require a receipt.
5. Council members have to approve all membership applications, and this usually takes one month.
6. When the application has been approved you will be notified and the Hon. Treasurer will activate the direct debit (or present the cheque).
7. No new memberships are granted during the month preceeding the Annual Conference.
8. The Society subscription year runs from October 1st to September 30th.
